ZOOS-by Andrea Ruiz

ZOOS

Zoos are rather "collections" of interesting animals,  not shelters or homes for animals. Even under the best conditions it is impossible to create something similar to the real habitat in which to live. Animals can not perform most of their conducts that are innate to them and vital as running, flying, climbing or accompanied by other fellow species.
Millions of people visit zoos annually but most of them suffer economic losses, then they need to find ways to reduce it to attract visitors. The wall street journal reported 2003 that half of the zoos in the country are facing cost reductions and the facilities that are intended to provide better conditions for the animals are used in gardening and gift shops to attract visitors.
Most of the zoos are too small and instead promoting the animal's respect they  only provide a little bit of information about the animal's feeding and their natural environment…  For example they  cutting the wings of the birds, the aquatic animals live without sufficient water most of the animals that live in family groups are lonely. Animals are very limited and the have a little bit of opportunities to play sports
The zoos said that they work for the animal protection but in generally they favor the most popular animals because they attract a lot of people and publicity
