MY IDOL-by Julio Gil

I don't have an idol,but I have one person that is my reference in life.

He is my uncle. He is an important person in my life because he taught me that if I set a goal and I belive in it, I can do it .

He isn´t a perfect boy, he is really normal. He has a house and a job where he has a normal salary. Also, he has a girlfriend and he lives with her.

As you can see, he isn´t a superhero, but Miguel, my uncle, has something special. I am not sure what it is, but whoever is nearby him are at feels good. I don´t know why, but it´s  real and when I am with him I feel special.

He is like a 40 year old boy. My uncle loves sports but in special football. Also he likes to go out with friends and watch football in the pub.

But the most special thing about my uncle Miguel is that he can make you laugh about anything .This is the most important thing about him, and while he is at my side I think I´ll be happy.

I'm going to talk about Miley Cyrus.
I have chosen  her because she has been my idol since I was 8 years old, when I first saw the series that hit the big screen in 2006,Hannah Montana
She was born in Teenese. She  began acting at the age of 12 in the serie Hannah Montana. She has also released several song albums like Breakout (2008) and Can't Be Tamed (2010) and also she is famous because of  some of her songs por example Wreaking Ball and Party in the USA.
Between Hannah Montana's show and these days, Miley Cyrus has changed a lot. She wanted to show the world that she is not that little girl any more .
 On the one hand I understand her because she doesn't want to be remembered as Hannah Montana but in the other hand I think that she has changed so drastically that some people don't like her anymore because of her new personality.

 As you can see Miley has changed a lot,she has cut her hair and dyed it to blond. Also her clothes have changed a lot, she always wears cleawage,semi transparent dresses... But definitely she has changed a lot in her personality. She does concerts in bikini and does inappropriate things on stage. Miley has also done some videos where you can see her completely undressed ,for example in her song Wreaking Ball
In conclusion, I have to admit that many people have began to know her because of her big change and this has made her earn lots of money.
However I have loved Miley since I was little but sincerely since she changed she has disappointed me. I would like her to be the girl that we all loved when we were little.

VINCENT VAN GOGH

Vincent Van Gogh was born in Groot-Zunder, Netherlands, in a very religious middle class family. It was 1853, he had fiver brothers but his favourite was Theo, his youngest. They always had great times together.

Apparently Vincent was a special, shy and lonely child. People were struck by his red hair and they noticed his talent for painting from a young age.

When he was 16, he went to work in an art gallery in Paris. After a while, he went to a gallery owned by the same people in London.

The years in contact with the art world would come in handy for his artistic training.

He was also a teacher, he sold books…

He did many things, until one day he decided to change his life. He went to a mining region in Belgium as a missionary. There he worked to help the miners and their families living in poverty.

The harsh living conditions of peasants, and coal workers, marked him forever and left a great impression of his artistic work.

Vincent was also in serious financial trouble, so his beloved brother, Theo, began sending him money to survive. Two years later, at the age of 27, he finally decided to devote himself to studying painting  and techniques full-time.

This is the time he painted “The Potato Eaters”. It showed his respect and compassion for the people at this time.

When Vincent was 33 years old, he went to Paris and discovered a whole new world.

Vincent was obsessed with an idea: to meet with important painters and live together in a house so they can share their knowledge in art. No one was interested in that, only Paul Gauguin so they live together a couple of month but both had a very strong character and they were arguing all the time. They once had such a big discussion after which Van Gough cut his ear with a knife.

POLLUTION

This is very important because nowdays it's a serious problem in our lives and we must act ass son as posible.

I think we should do something about the negative effects of pollution , such as:

• THE ENGINES FROM THE TRANSPORTS.

Because if only one person uses the car, it's better to take the bus or catch the underground. If there are more people in one vehicle , it will cause less pollution.

• SMOKING

Increasingly more people smoke and it's harmful in all respects , as much for health or environment.

• INDUSTRIAL CHIMNEYS

For the industries.

• TRASH

• THE FIRE

All of these polluting elements are very frequent in our world.

For that reason all the repesentatives of each country in all the world have formed an assembly to take measures.

CHARITY: WATER-by Diego Fernández

CHARITY: WATER

The charity I most support is called “Charity: Water” which is a foundation that helps out bringing clean and safe drinking water to those people in countries which are under development, by building clean water infrastructure such as wells and water filtrations.

There is a great deal of people which have to travel hundreds and thousands of miles to fetch dirty and infected water while we only have to open the tap on our kitchens in our houses and clean water comes out. There are very few people who really appreciate this and a lot of them belong to this project. They help people saving time (in going to fetch water), having a better education (helps keeping kids in school), women empowerment (in Africa 72% of women are in charge of collecting water), …etc

I think this charity is the greatest out of all, as it really thinks about other people which are suffering. In the web of this charity we can see how much they care about all those poor people. I find this so unique, as there are many people today who think about it once, but this charity thinks and cares about the unfortunate people every day, fighting every day more and I find it amazing!

I also find it incredible as they find loads of different and creative ways of a possible donation like raising funds in someone’s birthday in which the person decides not to receive gifts and so friends and family donate to this charity water. The charity also allows you to get involved and volunteer to fundraising, which is really great.

I also find it astonishing that they have already started this helping process with 20 developing countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. They have already saved lives of 5,600,00 people all over the places mentioned before, that’s a great amount of people!

Cars vs Bikes

Nowadays , the mobility of the people from all around the world has grown really fast in these lasts years. It's because of transports such as bikes , cars…But does this affect to our planet?

Basically a really high percent of people from all around the world drive cars just for going to work or for long travels! Even though cars are so comfortable and cool , they pollute the air in our atmosphere ,also it has terrible consequences too.

Other than that ,bikes are getting popular because people are getting worried about the pollution , so that is why they ride bikes in spite of driving cars. Normally this type of people wear protection such as helmets or kneepads. Also it helps you being a healthy person , because at the same time you are riding your bike you are doing exercise!

In conclusion , we have to save our planet of the big pollution , because we do not want the world to be polluted.

 A NEW PET

I have a new pet in my house it is a hamster. It is so pretty and my sister has said that it will be called Mordisquitos because it is always biting. That's why we can’t take it out and play with it. 

The first day of mordisquitos was quite strange because a friend gave it to me as a gift and my mum was quite angry and my dad laughed knowing my mum would love it because she says that it is really cute. 

Having a pet can be quite difficult because it can take a lot of time to take care of it. But it also is a fantastic thing because they give you a new friend and that's fantastic. I think that having a pet can be one of the best things in the world because normally they give you a new friend.

In conclusion, pets can be one of the best things. Now I have a new pet and I am very happy with it.
