REINDEER COOKIES-by Andrea Ruiz

REINDEER COOKIES

We are going to do delicious reindeer cookies, with nuts and vanilla perfect for preparing them for children and having a fun time in the kitchen.

Reindeers are those characters that are present at Christmas maybe they aren’t the main protagonists but they appear in the greeting cards, in the costumes of children on the night that Santa delivers the toys, holiday movies ...  Santa Claus, Christmas tree or the Three Kings may be more important than reindeers, however, they are some lovable characters, and thanks to them, Santa Claus can travel the world so that all children get their presents.

WE NEED:

Ingredients
• Nuts 50g
• 100g sugar
• 100g butter or margarine
• 1 egg
• 250g flour
• 1 teaspoon yeast
• 3 tablespoons vanilla liquid

Decoration
• Red Lacasitos
• Tiny Balls of chocolate
• Salty crackers heart-shaped

1. We put all the ingredients inside a big bowl knead well until forming a ball.

2. If we want small cookies we split cookies dough into 20 equal balls. If we want something bigger we can split them in 12 balls.

3. We crush each ball with our hands and we put on a baking sheet with a wax paper

4. We decorate with small balls of chocolate that will be the eyes, red Lacasitos would be the nose and finally crackers in the form of heart to be the horns.

5. With a preheat oven 180º and then we bake for about 15 minutes

6. When we see that the cookie begins to take on a golden color they are ready.

7. WE take the baking sheet let it stand in a fresh place for 10 minutes and then we put them in the oven rack
