SUZANNE COLLINS:THE HUNGER GAMES (SPOILER)-by Inés Cava

SUZANNE COLLINS: THE HUNGER GAMES
The Hunger Games is a Suzanne Collins trilogy which is composed of: The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay part 1 and Mockingjay part 2.
The Capitol is the cruel Government of the twelve districts in Panem, which was once North America. As punishment of a revolution in the past, the Capitol created the Hunger Games. These games consist in selecting one boy and one girl from each district to fight their selves until one remains (there are 12 districts, so in the battle there will be 24 people fighting). In the Hunger Games part, the youngest sister of Katniss is selected, and for saving her, Katniss volunteered. The other boy who is selected in district 12 is Peeta, who is in love with Katniss.
They are prepared for the battle and both of them remain. They knew that they have to kill someone, but they refused, so they decided to kill each other at the same time and both die. Before they eat the poisonous berries which will kill them, a voice tells them to stop and they notice that they both won the games, allowing the couple to survive.
The Capitol president (President Snow) gets angry before that and a second revolution is about to start…
Catching Fire is about the development of this revolution, the Capitol is furious at Katniss because of starting a new rebellion, and they create a new version of the Hunger Games in which all the past winners of other games have to participate. Because of the new rule, Katniss and Peeta must return. Part of the contestants can escape breaking the rules but the Capitol manages to capture Peeta and destroy district 12.

Mockingjay tells the story of Katniss leading the revolution of the Capitol and President Snow. Katniss with other people who agreed and united to the revolution, take part in the mission of killing Snow, but she didn’t know that Peeta had been tortured and he had an effect that makes him to hate Katniss and he wanted to kill her: Peeta is the Capitol’s key.
