ONLINE VIDEOGAMES-by Alvaro Zunzunegui

Online videogames

Online videogames can be very funny but they can be also very addictive and dangerous.
There are lot of types of online videogames. If you are not responsable, you can spend lot of money in the game.
You can also spend lot of time playing those type of games and if you don´t take care, you can became addicted to the game.
Online games can be dangerous as well because you don't know with whom you are talking. Sometimes, identities can be fake. That’s why you have to take care with those type of games and you can´t say your personal informmation to other people.
It´s very inportant not to say your password because other people will be able to play with your account, and they can also spend your money on stupid things in the game.

EARTHQUAKE IN ECUADOR-by María Lope

I have heard with sadness the news about an earthquake in Ecuador. It is always the same pattern: poor countries suffer the devastating effects of natural disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, tornadoes,…

Natural disasters are aggravated by the poor living conditions of the people: low quality housing, lack of roads, few hospitals, and incompetent administrators and politicians.

The earthquake took place on April 16 and there were a lot of aftershocks, more than 710, some of them were very strong and some weren’t. There can be more aftershocks, in fact there was one of intensity 6,3 in Richter scale.

There are more than 585 people dead, 8.340 people were injured, and 155 people disappeared. That’s because the earthquake was very strong and Ecuador is a very poor country and they don’t have buildings prepared against earthquakes. Also, the disaster took place in the poorest parts of the country.

They are going to work a lot to repair the buildings and roads. They will have to increase the taxes, but they are already poor people. They need help from the international community.

EASTER IN SPAIN-by Laura Sanchez

     EASTER IN SPAIN

Easter is celebrated in Spain in a very different way as it's done in other countries.

It is a religious holiday that recalls the passion and death of Christ.
During all week we celebrate processions in many towns and
cities of Spain.
It is a great show because during the parades people cry, sing, pray…
Also during the week we eat many rypical dishes than we only eat on these dates.
The best known are the french toast, the sweet fritter, and also the pottage.

Easter in Spain is definitely one of the most important celebrations of the country.

TECHNOLOGY AND CHILDREN-by Elena Sainz

TECHNOLOGY AND CHILDREN

Nowadays, most families have many gadgets, and in the future they will have them even more, because the future will be based on technology, but parents are usually afraid of children spending too much time in front of the screens of electronic devices because they think it could turn us into zombies or make us more stupid. We are creating a new society which is based on technology, changing pen and paper for keyboard and screen.

But, technology is essential to everything around us. Young people are more used to this way of life having been born into it, for us there is no other way of life. It is positive for everyting, for communication and for storing information in less space.

However, it is true that we spend too much time using these electronic devices.

In conclusion , I think this is a new lifestyle we have to live with and parents should teach their kids to use technology but also to manage to survive without it.

WHERE WILL I BE IN FIVE YEARS-by Alvaro Ortuño

Dear reader, today I will talk about my future and about where I'll be in five years.
I think that in five years I will be studying a university degree, I hope it will be related to
computer programming or videogames.
I really like the world of technology, but sometimes it gives me problems and when I solve them,
I see that I can beat the machine, as I always say:"higher mind, dominates lower mind";)))
When I lived in Murcia, my future plans were to move with my lifetime friends
to an appartment and I hope that it can come true.In five years I want to share a house with my
friends, live in another city, be responsible for my duties, learn to live with people who
are not my family and do housework between my friens and me.
I want to live learning to be a responsible adult, studying what I like finally ...
I think I can be the best at what I propose because if I like things I put a greater interest
than any person.I know I will get it, because I deserve it.

EASTER DESSERTS-by Carmen Mosquera

People from different parts of the world celebrate Easter with typical desserts of their countries.
  • Spain: during lent Spaniards used to eat French toasts. This delicious dessert is made of slices of bread (normally from various days). The slices of the bread are soaked in milk which is aromatized with cinnamon and lemon peel. Then you bread them with eggs and now you are able to fry them. Allow to cool down them and if you like you can sprinkle them with sugar and cinnamon.
In Spain are also typical the sweet fritters, fried milk, Mona de Pascua, honey-coated fritter, etc.

  • Greece: in this country it is typical the Tsoureki that is a sweet braid brioche with coloring eggs. It is similar to Monas de Pascua.

    • Russia: at Easter the most popular dessert is the kulich, a kind of panettone with sugar frosting. It is very decorated and colorful.

      • Finland: the first impression of this dessert is awful, but according to Finns it is a delicatessen. Mämmi is a kind of pudding which is made of malted rye and molasses. It is served cold and with a stream of milk.

        • Mexico: during Easter, Mexicans eat Capirotada that is a mix of French toasts and pudding. Normally the Capirotada has raisins on the top of it.
        • Holland: Dutchmen celebrate Easter with Advocaat, an alcoholic drink which is similar to thick egg punch.

        • United Kingdom: in this country are typical the Hot Cross Buns that are a kind of spicy sweet roll with raisins and redcurrants. They are decorated with a cross made of pasta breeze.

        • Switzerland: at Easter Swiss eat Osterchüechli which is a tartlet stuffed with aromatized rice pudding and with vanilla and lemon zest.

        • Poland: it is typical to eat a glazed sponge cake with sugar coated fruit.

        •

I have never tasted all these desserts but I think they must be delicious!!

TECHNOLOGY-by Andrea Ruiz

TECHNOLOGY

Are we slaves of technology? I think it is quite clear that it's the contrary. I think the best way to realize that technology is at the service of people is that it has always been considered to be based on the ideas of  man and look for their comfort

Are we slaves of technology or are advances at our service? We can complain that we are increasingly dependent, but this is merely a reflection of what life has given us. How many people said years ago that they would never have a mobile and you nowadays send a whastapp? The same we could say of Internet, but how many things do we do in a day with the Internet? Perhaps, now we have more possibilities because technology is our service and not vice versa.

2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY-by Máximo Herreros

2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY

This in a quite old film, but I saw it for first time a month ago. It was made in 1968 by the famous director Stanley Kubrick, and it travels the past and to the future of humanity. In the first scenes, the world is in a pre-human stage, and in the desert, apes and lions fight for the supremacy. Suddenly, a strange black block appears one morning in the middle of the valley. After that, the monkeys discover that the bones of dead beasts can be used as a weapon.

The next scenes, narrate the life of a scientific that works in a space station. Million years after the event of the black block and the apes, another black block has been found buried in the Moon.
The investigation leads to the planet Jupiter. A spaceship is doing the journey there. That spaceship is controlled by the last-generation computer; HAL 9000, which controls most of the spacecraft systems. HAL 9000 has a fault and starts killing all the spaceship member except the captain, that achieves to deactivate HAL 9000, but it’s too late, the spaceship has been caught in a wormhole, and it is teleported to an estrange dimension in which the time passes in a different way.

WHERE WILL I BE IN FIVE YEARS TIME?-by Juan Ybañez

Where will I be in five years time ?

I hope that I will be studying at university with all my friends from school. I would like to study two careers which are law and economics. I like these careers because there are lots of jobs that involve economics. These careers also have lots of  work opportunities such as being a governor or a judge.
In the summer, I would love to go to the “Tomorrowland” festival because in my opinion it is one of the best festivals in the world as there would be lots of famous DJ`S playing there like Martin Garrix, who is one of my favorites!
Then I would also like to travel around the world with all my friends to visit some of the most wonderful places such as Australia and Hawaii. I think that this would be a fantastic idea because I would be able to meet new people from different cultures and live unforgettable experinces!

HOPE YOU ENJOY MY NEW BLOG!!

WHERE DO I SEE MYSELF IN FIVE YEARS-by Marta Labrado

At the moment I don´t now where I will be in five years. I think that I will be at university. Nowadays I don´t know what carrer I will study, but I would like to become dentist or cook. I'd like to be a dentist because I find teeth and all the things of the mouth interesting. I'd like more to be a cook but I don´t now what I will be. I started to like cooking before I was 11 years old. When I was little I always saw my mum and my grandmother cooking. Nowadays I love cooking and I think that I'd prefer to be a chef. If I study to be a dentist I don´t know where I will study but if I study to be a chef I wiil study at the Le Cordon Bleu. I don´t now where I will study but I think that I will study in Spain. I think that my future will be great but I don´t now a lot of things about it.

FIVE YEARS FROM NOW...-by Carmen Merello

Five year from now…

Five years from now I will be 20 years old. Oh my God! That is too old! Right now it seems like that future is so far away, but if we thought about it carefully, we would be amazed by how quickly the time passes. Let's look back at our lives a little. Three years ago we were so excited to start the ESO but next year we will finish it,and then with Bachillerato, we will have finished school(if we are lucky and we study), forever. We will never go back to our childhood.
To tell you the truth, five years from now I see myself stressed out about university. One of my goals in life is to be a memorable medical scientist. I would love to find the cure for cancer or any other important cure, and, as you can guess, I would like to study a medical degree. Everyone, even my family, says that a medical degree is such a difficult  course and I would have to work harder than ever in my life. So, I see myself studying a lot everyday.
I also see myself older obviously, and I hope I grow up because I'm tiny rigth now. I hope I will stay in contact with some of my school friends and I also hope to meet new people and make new relation ships.I hope that I won't  regret anything in the past five years,(from now to five years from now). I see myself discovering new places, music, hobbies , movies and I see myself travelling around the world.
And last but not least I see my family more attached than ever. I hope that everything stays the same and that nothing terrible happens.
