It's 1942. The armies of Germany and Russia fight fiercely while the
world anxiously awaits the outcome of the battle of Stalingrad. A Russian
sniper, Vassily Zaitsev,
perseveres to eliminate their enemies one by one. Danilov, the officer in
charge of Soviet propaganda, makes him a national hero. The Germans, meanwhile,
send their best sniper, Major Konig, to eliminate Vassily.
I don’t know if the
film is historically realistic, but it is very interesting to see, and I
enjoyed the way the movie was made, and the point of view of both sides. In fact
I liked more the german sniper than the Russian, but maybe that is because of
the actor.
