Grey’s Anatomy

Grey’s anatomy is an American tv series created by Shonda Rhimes. There are a lot of characters who are really important like Meredith Grey and Derek Sheperd, but I will talk about them later. The series is about the fictional lives of surgical interns and residents and it shows how the interns start getting better, and meanwhile the narrator (who is Meredith Grey) continues telling about her personal life and we are also able to watch the other characters romances and problems. 

The characters 

Meredith Grey 

She is portrayed by Ellen Pompeo. Meredith is the daughter of a renowned surgeon and whose relationship has marked her personality. Meredith is the protagonist of the series. She has a personal relationship with Derek, a neurosurgeon at 'Seattle Grace'. She is the narrator of each episode. Her mother, who wasn’t a very good mother, was diagnosed Alzheimer's, but nobody knows except Meredith.

Derek Sheperd

He is portrayed by Patrick Dempsey. Derek Shepherd is a renowned neurosurgeon who moved from New York to Seattle after discovering his wife, Addison, in bed with his best friend, Mark Sloan. As soon as he arrives in Seattle, he meets Meredith Grey, and they immediatly fall in love with each other and begin to have a stormy relationship.

Christina Yang 

She is portrayed by Sandra Oh. Cristina Yang is Meredith’s best friend, her other half, and she is really passionate about cardiothoracic surgery. Sarcastic, arrogant and highly competitive, she does anything to get into an operating room.

Alex Karev 

He is played by Justin Chambers. Honest, sincere, simple, says things as he thinks them without thinking how other people will react to them. He grew up watching his father, a drug addict musician, constantly abusing his mother, and that marked his personality. He has had love affairs with many hospital doctors, but none really important to him.
