Do you find yourself right now trying to study but you don’t feel in the mood for it? Do you study long hours but in the end you don’t get the results you expected? Do you get stressed easily while you’re studying or you feel like you’re not going to get over the finals? Do you not sleep enough because of a messy studying organization?
If your answer is “yes” to any of the questions above, then, why not try to get some studying tips? Study tips are helpful hints for making easier and kind of more enjoyable the fact of studying, most of all when the exams you are studying for are the final ones. Here are some study tips that may be useful for your studying:
1. Change into comfortable clothes.
2. Find a study place which is best for you. Some people recommend finding a comfortable place to study such as your bed or a really comfy couch but I actually believe that it’s better if you just sit in front of your desk and take a good posture so that your back doesn’t hurt.
3. Turn off the distractions and set the mood so you do not get distracted! Another thing that people usually like which I do not really like is turning on some music as I get distracted very easily.
4. Organize with a planner and write down which exams you have on which days
5. Make some flash cards! If there's any words that you are gonna need to know in the test, then it’s just best to write them out on one side and then have the definition on the other side so you can kind of flip through the cards to check if you have already learned the vocabulary words and its definitions. They’re really handy as you can carry them on your bag or in your pockets or wherever you want! In my opinion flash cards are such a useful and gorgeous way to study.
6. Highlight important details! I find that highlighters are so bright and colorful that when you are reading through everything you can easily focus on the highlighted words and areas! That’s why it makes it so helpful for studying and such a nice and brilliant study tip!
7. Ask for help! Ask your classmates the doubts you have. Both of you will see different points of view about a concrete aspect and it will resolve all of your doubts.
8. Take frequent breaks. It helps you not to mix everything you’ve learnt inside your head. It also gives you a little breathe.
9. Eat “brain food”. Eating healthy food is better than eating snacky food. Ex: yoghurt with fruit.
It keeps your energy level up. Also, you should drink a lot of water as you need to stay hydrated!
And last but not less important, keep a question card during the week before the final exams. Make sure to ask those questions to your teachers so you can review them the day before each exam.
Keep an eye on all the tips above and you’ll see how this will help you to reduce the time you spend studying, and as a consequence of this you will be less tired and more healthy! Moreover it will improve your studying and memorizing skills!
Hope this helped you to survive to the final exams week and good luck to everyone in the exams left!
