“Capitán Mandarina” by Jorge Ojeda

I am going to talk about Capitán Mandarina. Capitán Mandarina is a new Pop-Rock Spanish music group. They are 6 people in their twenties. This group is not really well known because they are still a really new group.

How did they start?

Two of them were friends from school. One day they were chilling out and playing guitar, which is their passion. Then another one, who didn´t know how to play any instrument started playing drums and he did it quite well.  They thought it was not bad so they started practicing. Two weeks later someone called them for a concert and with just 4 practices with all the group went to the concert. The concert was amazing and everybody liked it.

Why are the called Capitán Mandarina?

This is a weird part of the story. One of them while he was having tangerines for dessert made a show. He started juggling with the tangerins and playing with it doing silly things. When he was doing it his parents started calling him Capitan Tangerin. That´s where the name come from.

Nowadays they only have one album but is amazing you should listen it. It's called “Ninguno de mis heroes” (None of my heroes).
