NIGERIAN FOOD - by Carlota Morán

Nigerian food.
This moth the blog is going to be centered on Nigeria and I thought that one thing from this place that is really interesting is the food. There are so many different kinds of food with lots of spices and different flavors.
One of the most typical plates of food is the Jollof riz:
It´s not just famous in Nigeria, actually it is typical in all occidental Africa.

This food is prepared mainly with onions, green peppers, tomatoes, tomato paste and salt. Anyway, when the food is served, you can add the species you prefer or different kinds of meat.

Another one is the Maafe:
This is basically a peanut stew made with, obviously a base of peanuts and tomatoes and with meat, that can be chicken meat, lamb meat or veal meat. And then you can add onions, cabbage or other kinds of vegetables.

And to finish: a very common dessert from Nigeria is the Budín:
It´s made with steal bread, eggs, sugar, milk, Chantilly cream, butter and vanilla. It´s really sweet and perfect to enjoy with family and friends.
