HOLIDAY IN FRANCE

This summer I went to France in August. I went to The Canal Du Midi with a boat through the Canals. The boat is totally equipped with three rooms, three bathrooms, kitchen, living room and a big terrace on top where you can make barbacues, the trip consists on driving the boat through the Canals and during the journey you have to pass locks, then you can stop in the towns that you find attractive and you also have to fill up water and electricity in the harbors.

At night you can stop at the side of the canal or in a harbor were you have to pay an amount of money per night, but its compulsory to stop driving at 7 pm.

MY JOURNEY:

Me and my family flew to Toulouse and we picked up the boat from Castelnaudary, after that we spent the day driving and at night we went to Carcassonne which is a lovely town, especially at night, with all the lights around the castle´s walls, the town is located inside an old castle and it has got really nice restaurants and little shops were you can buy soaps, clothes..

Next morning, from Carcassonne we went to Trebes, we visited the village and had a very nice lunch there, after that we stopped in Homps to refill water and energy.

We also visited more towns and villages like Minervois, Le Somail and Ventenac. Finally, we left the boat in Narbonne, it was a really enjoyable experience and I really liked it.
