Divergent is the first book of a trilogy written by Veronica Roth. The novel resulted in two sequels: Insurgent (2012) and Allegiant (2013). It’s a science fiction trilogy. Veronica Roth is 26 years old. She is American. Her books are often science fiction, fantasy, adventure and drama.
Synopsis: In a futuristic city of Chicago, the population is divided into five factions: Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Dauntless, and Erudite. Tris Prior is a sixteen-year-old born in Abnegation, she doesn't feel like she belongs to Abnegation. She has to decided where she will live for the rest of her life, be free or stay with her family, and she choose to go to Dauntless. But her aptitude test shows that she can belong to three factions and it's dangerous so she can't tell to anyone. Her Dauntless instructor, Four will be her crush and they will be a couple but when everything is perfect for her, the things start changing and their life will be completely different.
The film: The movie is very well made, the special effects are great and the actors are very good, the things are very similar to the book, except that the eyes of Four are blue. The only part of the film that does not appear is the end, they change it.
In my opinion, this book is great I like it very much. Some people think that it’s similar to “The hunger games” but I don’t think so, it’s very different and I recommend it to everyone. I really like it, you will like it and you will have so much fun reading it. The film is great I'm sure you will like it, but you also have to read the book!!
