In this blog I'm going to talk about the oscars.

What are the oscars? The oscars are the most prestigious ceremony for actors and films. It's a ceremony where the besta actors and films (in categories like: make-up, etc...) receive a oscar.

What is an Oscar? An Oscar is a little gold statue that actors and films receive. When a movie, an actor, or a director receives an oscar he will be considereted much better and in the case of an actor he will be hired for many films.

Where is the ceremony? The oscars are celebrated in Hollywood which is in the USA, Hollywood is where normally  the most prestigious actors live, that's why the ceremony is celebrated there.

When are the oscars? The date when the oscars are celebrated is normally betwenn Febrary and March six weeks after the nomitnations are announced.

How is the ceremony? The ceremony has several parts: first the actors and all the nominates arrive to the "red carpet" and there they sign autograhps and they talk to journalists. Then they go to the auditorium where the ceremony is celebrated and the oscars start. A host starts talking and presents the ceremony and normally he does something funny (jokes, songs...). 

Second the oscars start, an actor announces the nominees and then announces the winners, first there are the less important oscars like make-up... and at the end there are the most impotant ones like best actor, best film... 

And third the host finishes the ceremony,  saying that has been an honor to presentate the gala.

Who are the actors with most oscars? The actors with more oscars are: 

1. Katherine Hepburn (4 oscars) 

2. Walter Brennan, Jack Nicholson, Ingrid Bergman, Meryl Streep and Daniel Day-Lewis (3 oscars) 

3. Spencer Tracy, Gary Cooper, Anthony Quinn, Marlon Brando, Peter Ustinov, Melvyn Douglas, Robert de Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Michael Caine, Tom Hanks, Sen Penn, Jack Lemmon, Denzel Washington and Christoph waltz (2 oscars) 

Personal opinion: In my opinion the oscas are a interesting ceremony where you can find out about new and interesting films and actors and I recommend everybody to see the oscars at least once, they ere addictive, if you see them once you won't be able to stop seeing them.
