MY EXPERIENCE AT THE ASHBOURTON EXCHANGE:
Two years ago I was offered to go on an exchange to England. The exchange lasted
10 days and it was one of the worthiest experiences I have had so far. I learned a lot of
English and met a lot of amazing people.
My English partner was called Sam, before I went to England we talked a bit via email
and facebook, but not too much. His family was awesome, his parents; Naomi and
Watson were really nice and were all the time trying to help me with everything.
The first day we went to the school and met everyone, and afterwards we went walking
around the village to see what it looked like. The second day was a Saturday so we were
with our families, and we went with Nacho and his English partner to the town to visit
On Sunday we stayed at home and played some table games, and on the afternoon went
to the theatre. On Sunday we went to visit Plymouth, a place that I personally really
enjoyed, and on Tuesday we also stayed at the school.
These are just the first five days but the other five days were also amazing. When we had
to leave we were all really upset because we had all loved the experience and would
have liked to stay longer.
When they came to Spain we were all waiting for them so enthusiastically. The days
that they were here were amazing and we went to a lot of places and did a lot of
things. We went to watch a basketball match at school because it is something that
really represents the school, to visit the Prado museum, one of the best museums in
Madrid, they went with the school to visit the Bernabeu stadium and to have the typical
“churros”.
They went to many other places but these are the ones that they liked the most. I‘d
like to thank everyone that took part in the exchange as well as the ones that made it
possible.
