Chinese New Year


Chinese New year is one of the most important festivals in the Chinese calendar and in a big part of Asia.




During the period of the festival the largest human migration in the world comes to china to celebrate the holidays with their families.
The start date of the Chinese New Year is determined by the lunisolar calendar, usually begins on the day of the new moon nearest the day equidistant between the winter solstice.
This past February 19th, according to Chinese calendar, has begun the year 4713 called the year of the Goat.
This festivity has some fun traditions like the”red envelope” that consists giving the children a red envelope that contains a small amount of money.
During the days of celebration in families and in restaurants is very typical to eat ravioli and have a good time with family.
