The Goya awards are offered each year, by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain, to the best works of Spanish cinema.
This award is a bronze bust of Francisco de Goya, hence the name of this gala.
The ceremony is held between the last days of January and the first days of February, and follows the structure of the Oscars.
This year, it was held February 7, almost 4 million people watched it.
There were many nominees but only some won, some of the winners were:
Best Picture: La isla mínima.
Best direction: Alberto Rodríguez
Leading actress: Bárbara Lennie
Actress revelation: Nerea Barros
Actor revelation: Dani Rovira
Nobel Director: Carlos Márquez-Marcet
European film: Ida
Hispanic movie: Relatos Salvajes
Honorary goya: Antonio Banderas
and many more awards.
They were presented by Dani Rovira, who, in my opinion, revolutionized most viewers, with the big kiss to Clara Lago
