PEARL HARBOR (FILM)

Pearl harbor is a film based on real facts: an American epic battle during the Second World War.

There are two boys, Rafe and Danny, good friends and both first lieutenants under the command of Jimmy Doolittle. One night, Rafe meets a girl whom he falls in love with, but later he receives news that he has been accepted into the Eagle Squadron to help Great Britain during the Battle of Britain and he immediately accepts. He lies to his bestfriend Danny saying that he was assigned to the mission but Rafe tells the truth to his girl called Evelyn, a nurse. They are very in love and Rafe says to Danny that he has to care about Evelyn while he is away at war.

Four weeks after Danny finds out that Rafe was lost in the sea, so he goes to tell Evelyn and she is devastated.

Three months later Danny and Evelyn meet again and they realize that there are feelings for each other and they start a relationship forgetting Rafe.

On the night of December 6, Rafe appears again, he wasn’t died. Evelyn does not believe that Rafe is in front of her because now she has to explain everything that has happened in his absence. Rafe gets very angry when he realizes that his bestfriend and his girlfriend are together.

Early the next morning comes the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Everything is a disaster. Rafe and Danny board into the planes and go to fight.

I’m not going to write more about the film because if I do it I will tell you the end of the story and I prefer you to watch the film and discover what happens after this. I promise that it’s one of the best films I have ever seen, it has a lot of war scenes and also romantic scenes! You have to watch it! This film had a lot of nominations and specially with the original soundtrack that is so beautiful.
