A WALK TO REMEMBER
The film I would like to review is “A walk to remember”,
which is very old.
It is based on the book “A walk to remember” written
by Nicholas Sparks. It tells the story about a couple of teenagers that fall in
love but the problem is that she (Jamie Sullivan) has leuchemia, and she is not responding
to the treatment .
It is an American teen romantic drama film. The actual
location is beautiful and the main characters too.
Landon Carter is a rebellious teenager who is threatened with being expelled because he and his friends caused injures to a student.
The head teacher of the school gives him the choice of doing social works by tutoring younger students. He notices that he has trouble doing the
classes so he asks Jamie for help, and she accepts, but with one condition, Jamie
doesn´t want him to fall in love with her. From that day on they start knowing
each other and he starts falling in love with her. One day, on their second
date, she confesses him that she has leuchemia and that she is not responding to
the treatment. His friends try to support him but Jamie gets worse and she is
sent to the hospital. He knows that they don´t have too much time to be together so that is why he proposes marriage to her. They get married and
after the summer she dies.
It is one of the best films I´ve ever seen. It is sad
but it shows you how someone can change the way you see people who are always
happy even if suffering a very big disease and you are always complaining about things
that are not important. The film shows you also that life is not all about
being popular and dressing nicely, strength, faith and love are the main topics
of the film.
