“What will happen to us after we die?” This is a question that has always bothered the human existence and it will always bother it because when people find out the answer…well, it will be too late to tell everyone. Religious people believe that after death we will get to a place where their God will reward them because of their actions on Earth, or a place where they will finally rest in peace and pray. Others may believe that humans reincarnate into another organism based on how good they behaved in their human life.
A few days ago, I read an article of a new theory of what happens to our body (or more specifically, to our conscience) after our death, and I found it very interesting: The theory states that death just doesn’t exist. People have only created it because of the thought that our body and our conscience go together in one, but it’s not like that, instead, our conscience has the ability to not belong to any time or space. Lanza (the expert who created this theory) also believes in the existence of multiple universes, and implies that we have different bodies in each of them, but they are dead. So when our present body dies, our conscience can go to another universe and make our parallel us “wake up”; so we really never die. Of course, if you believe in this theory, you also have to believe in the existence of parallel universes.
Another interesting theory is that maybe after our death, our conscience stays “floating” in the emptiness of the universe and it’s only capable of remembering everything we have lived through our lives, so maybe you are dead now and you are just remembering a memory.
I don’t know, this is very difficult to think of because people are always coming up with new theories that in some way, they have sense. I want to think that we go to Heaven, but there are always some flaws in that theory; but, again, there are also some flaws in the other theories. So I don’t have a determined opinion; I will keep researching, though!
