GALICIAN CARNIVALS-by Rubén Gómez

I'm writing to the Galician Carnivals. It's something which the spanish people don't know of about the Galicians. In my village, Corrubedo, during Carnivals the people disguise themselves as "Chiqueiros". It consists of putting on the old rags of our parents and grandparents and during the nigtht to go out to the street andask for tipical Galician desserts at other people's houses. Some of them are: The Ears of Carnival, The Doughtnuts, The flowers and The Filloas. It's a celebration that I would like to celebrate....
... but in Madrid we don't celebrate Carnivals. Why? Are we stupid?
