THE GRAMMYS 2015 & THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING FILM REVIEW-by Carlota Morán

The Grammys 2015.

This year the awards where held at The Stapes Center (Los Ángeles). The celebration was full of surprises and extravagances that left us with our mouth open.

Starting with the awkward red carpet, where one of the biggest protagonists was Maddonna who dressed inspired by the costume of a bullfighter which got the attention from everyone, to the newest try of Kanye West to get attention, in the moment where ------- was getting her Grammy for the best album, he decided to break into the stage and, without saying anything, to say everything. Like he did a few years ago at the moment where Taylor Swift was getting her own Grammy. This time, luckily, Kanye didn´t arrive until the end and decided to sit down again before saying anything. But, to be honest. All of us know that everything that this men wanted was a bit of attention, and he got it.

Anyway, the big winner of the awards was Sam Smith, who went home with nothing less that 4 Grammys!! Best new artist, record and song of the year from “Stay with me” and best vocal album for “In the Lonely hour”. The performances were awesome and, like every year, the awards were much discussed.

The Theory of Everything
Basic data:

Synopsis:
Basically it could look like a movie about the biography of Stephen Hawking but if you watch it you’ll realise that it’s not. What it really wants to show is the love story between Jane and Stephe. The movie doesn't start when he is born,it doesn’t even show when Stephen proves that he is a genius. The movie starts when he meets Jane at a party in the university. And it finishes when (SPOILER) the marriage breaks up. It’s the story about the overcoming of a couple that, since the beginning of their relationship not knowing what will happen the day after. They support each other day after day, and when Stephen starts with his disease, and when he starts showing his theories to the people, and gets fame around the whole world, his biggest support is always his wife. The story is beautiful and shows the disease in every moment, and how those both try to overcome themselves every day to be able to live with it, the actors are amazing and they transmit the message in a super realistic way to the viewer. The story is developed further in a very british and cozy atmosphere, that makes it seem lovelier. But, to be honest, yes, in part the movie speaks about the theory of everything, but it's really hard to follow the exposition. So, in my opinion, if you want to see a story about love, overcoming difficulties and cry a lot, you have to see it. But if you want to find out something about what’s in the head of the biggest genius of our times, better stay at home.

-          Jane: what is that?
-          Stephen: It is a kind of religion for intelligent atheists.
