STEREOTYPES-by Patricia Valencia

Stereotypes is a fixed idea about a particular type of person or thing, which is often not true in reality.
There are stereotypes that are true and there are stereotypes that are not true.
One example of a wrong stereotype is that women are more talkative than men. Research by psychologists at the University of Arizona have shown that women speak about 16,000 words a day and men speak slightly fewer. Another stereotype that is wrong: Football. Some boys think that the girls don´t like to play football, but they are wrong. Maybe there aren't many and maybe girls don´t play very well, but if they want to, they can play.
A stereotype that is true: Women are experts at gossiping, the range from women´s conversations are bigger than range from men´s conversations.
