PROM TRIP-by Natalia Borrueco

PROM TRIP BLOG

Hello everyone!

This month I will introduce you to my prom trip which took part in March.

First of all, we were told that we shouldn’t carry a large heavy suitcase because we were going to take it every single day with us and we had to be there at 7:30 am. Talking about myself I only did well one of the two things that the teachers advised us; so it was pretty annoying to transport my suitcase but I swear I put in my bag everything I needed! So it was worth it.

On the way there, we travelled around the peninsula by two buses for all of us. However, this was not bad at all because we could pick up our seats so we stayed with our friends while doing everything we wanted such as listening to music or singing out loud.

The first day was very enjoyable because we visited Guadalupe and Trujillo. Also, the hotel that night was from my point of view, the best one because the rooms were very big and so were our beds.
Another thing that I liked from Cáceres’ hotel was the food; the dinner and the breakfast were really delicious and I’m sure that no one was hungry after eating at the hotel since everybody liked the food.

The next morning we had a guided visit around Cáceres and then we crossed the border and went to Coimbra, Portugal. This was very exciting for me because it was the first time I was going to Portugal and I had always wanted to visit it, so the fact that I was travelling with my friends increased my excitement for arriving.
Tourism was great since everything was beautiful and I liked it very much although the hotel was not as good as I expected.

The next stop was Lisbon, the city I fell in love with, because it was extremely wonderful. I loved the people, the buildings and the landscape. The only thing that I didn’t like as much as I loved Lisbon was the little time that we spent there. On the other hand, I am thankful for the time because the teachers let us one more extra hour so I shouldn’t complain too much.

Finally, we arrived to Mérida and visited the Roman Amphitheater and Theather where one of our teachers, Manuel, gave us a lot of information.

The hotel of Mérida was fine; the bedrooms were very cool because the walls were a one big green mirror with terraces too!
I’ve spoken about the best hotel but the best night was the last one without a doubt; my roommates and I spent almost the whole night laughing, we had a lot of fun.

In conclusion, I’ve spent the best week of my life thanks to my friends and especially to my teachers because they planned a great trip for us and were taking care of us even when there was unease in the air.
