EDUCATION IN NIGERIA-by Gonzalo Cabeza

EDUCATION IN NIGERIA

Nigeria is a third world countrywhere there is not much money, so the education is not very advanced.
There are some problems that make the education in Nigeria difficult:  there is no money to build schools and not all families can afford going there. Many children don´t have time to got to school because they have to care for their younger brothers or go to work for having something to eat for them and for their families. Another problem is that most of them live so far away from the school that they need to walk many hours.
Schools are under the responsability of the state, so the government has taken significant steps to improve the education system: development of school infrastructure, health...

Trying to improve education in Nigeria this year our school is doing a solidarity campaign to send money to the nuns of Jesus Maria to build a new school and to provide education to many children.
