My Trip to Paris

My Trip to Paris

The last 4th of September, I was staying two and a half days with my godmother in Paris.

When I arrived in the airport at 8pm, my godmother was already there waiting. She lives in a town near Paris. We went to the hotel and we didn’t do anything special. We just had dinner and talked.

Then, the next morning the first thing we did was visit the Eiffel Tower. It was so strikingly beautiful. We went up stairs to the first floor, and you could see the whole city; it was so impressive. Next, we went to Napoleon’s grave and we walked across the edge of Siene river. After, we went to the Louvre. It was so big and beautiful!

We then saw Concord Square. We took a bike ride. We went to the royal palace. After, we went to the Opera. We visited the Laffayette Galeries, which is like Corte Inglés here in Spain, but much more expensive. We walked to the Vendome square. On a street near there, we passed by the first Chanel shop. We took a bike again and went to the Champs Élysées. There, we went shopping. We saw the Arc de Triumph and took a taxi to Notre Dame, where we had dinner in a restaurant close by. As you can see, we walked a lot and we saw a lot too.

That Sunday, we visited Notre Dame. We went to “the Lovers Bridge” which is a bridge where couples hang a lock with their names and they throw the key into the river. We walked across two tiny islands and went to Vosgues square. We then went to the Marais district and did more shopping. We walked until we saw the Pompidou, which is a museum of modern art. We took another bike ride and to the Jardin du Luxembourg. After we visited that, we took the underground to Montmartre, which is the bohemian district of Paris. We saw the Moulin Rouge and we went to the cafe of Amelie, and I was so excited because Moulin Rouge and Amelie are both one of my favourite films ever. We went to the Sacre Coeur, which is a big cathedral. We went to Painter’s square, and after that we took the car and we went on a ride all over Paris. That was how we ended our trip in the city.
