THE BEATLES

I’m going to write about the Beatles but particularly about their famous song and film called Help!.

The Beatles were an English rock band from Liverpool, recognized as the most successful and most acclaimed band in history. Their members were John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Star.

‘Help!’ was written by John and Paul. The lyrics were an insight into John’s dissatisfaction with himself. He was eating too much, had put on weight and felt trapped by fame. John later admitted that in the song he was asking for help.

The Beatles did a film called Help. John Lennon wrote the film’s title, using the word ‘help’ to explore his insecurity. It was to remain one of his  favourite Beatles’ songs too.

The film is a history about a girl that is going to be sacrificed because of her tribe’s customs. She has to wear a ring in the killing but suddenly she noticed that ring has been sent  as a present to her favourite band: the Beatles. Then the priest that was going to kill her realized that the ring is in Ringo’s hand (one of the members of the Beatles) and he thinks Ringo has to die too. For the rest of the film the priest tries to find Ringo and The Beatles are running away from him all the time.
