STAND BY ME

Stand by Me is a film from 1986. It was directed by Rob Reiner. It takes place in an imaginary American town called Castle Rock (located in the state of Oregon) in September 1959 during a weekend close to Labour Day.
There are four twelve-year old boys in this movie, each of them having his own dreams, weaknesses, and strengths.
Chris' family is full of alcoholics and low-level criminals. Teddy was abused when he was a child. Vern has problems with food resulting in him becoming overweight for his age. Gordie (the leader of the pack) is emotionally unstable because of the death of his older brother, which was the beloved one for his parents. Now, they treat him with complete indifference.
The four boys start their adventure wanting to find the body of Ray Brower, a child of similar age, so they can become famous and appear on local TV stations and newspapers. After fighting their own fears and finding the body, they realise they have became adults.
Years later, with their group broken up, each of them follow their own path. They never meet again.
