TIMELESS ICON

TIMELESS ICON
                               TIMELESS ICON
This month, I want to talk about one of the most remarkable actresses of all time and also one of the most stylish celebrities that have existed…

AUDREY HEPBURN.

Audrey was born on 4 May 1929 in Ixelles (a village of Belgium). She lived in Europe during the World War II, in fact; she suffered from eating disorders all her life because she got  used to not having enough food during the war.
Incidentally: Ballet was her passion but she was too tall to make a career out of it.

HER MOVIES AND MOST FAMOUS ROLES.
Her first major movie was Roman Holiday (1952) with which she won an Oscar for Best Actress.
But from my point of view, her most outstanding role is Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961). Her performance is simply magnificent and will be forever remembered as long as the cinema exists.
She did War and Peace with her first husband, Mel Ferrer. Other famous movies include My Fair Lady, The Unforgiven, The Children’s hour, When it sizzles and Charada.

AUDREY’S LAST YEARS

She became a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF in 1988. Because of that, she cut down on making movies in order to be able to work with UNICEF.

Audrey was diagnosed with Cancer in 1992. She died on 20 January 1993 at the age of 63. Despite she had rejected to be the image of Tiffany’s, the firm dedicated her a store window with the quote ‘’My Huckleberry friend’’ from ‘’Moon River’’, the theme song of Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
